Updated: 2020-2021 Reopening Plans

Posted: August 13, 2020

Last Night, August 12, 2020, the Scio School Board of Directors reviewed and approved the 2020-2021 Scio School District building Operational Blueprints for Reentry. A new menu tab has been added to the top of the district website. This new menu tab is titled “COVID-19 Updates.” The approved plans have been posted under this menu, along with a reopening status and a frequently asked questions page. Each of these pages will be updated regularly. Additional pages will be added to this menu once new information is available. Please refer back to this location often to learn about the newest up to date information regarding our plans for the 2020-2021 school year.

A letter will be mailed home to families previously enrolled in our schools tomorrow. This letter will include information regarding the opening of online registration next Monday, August 17th as well as other reopening information. Along with the letter, a copy of your PIV number that is needed to do online registration will be included. We will be doing all registration online this year. You can find the link to do registration on the webpage under registration in the bottom left-hand corner. It is important for you to complete the online registration as soon as you can. If you have any issues please do not hesitate to contact us at 503-394-3276.

We truly appreciate everyone’s willingness to work with us on our plans. The feedback received from our community, parents, and staff have been extremely helpful. We can’t say enough about the patience and grace we have received from everyone as we try to navigate these ever-changing times. We are proud to work in a community that is so supportive of education and our schools.

Note: If you are a new student to the Scio School district you do not need a PIV number.  You will select the Enroll New student tab.  If you are a student wanting to transfer into Scio high school and you do not live within the Scio School District boundaries you will need to start an interdistrict transfer process through your home school and complete paperwork available through the Scio School District office before we can enroll you.
